We’re celebrating some of the women that help make LPL such a successful practice and dynamic workplace.
At LPL, we’re immensely proud of our record on diversity and inclusion. Nowhere is this clearer than in the make up of our senior management team, where over 75% of our senior team are women.
Louise Stephens-Pantoja, Head of Operations at LPL said: “There’s no glass ceiling at LPL.

Women’s representation in the legal sector
Women have faced an uphill battle to have their work recognised in the legal sector. Passed in 1919, the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act first opened the door for women to become lawyers. In practical terms, however, the sector has long been considered a Boys Club.
Times have started to change. The Law Society say that women have represented more than 60% of new entrants to the profession since 1990 and that there are now more women practicing as solicitors than men.
But significant barriers to fair representation still remain at the top of the profession. According to a 2017 survey, female partners made up just 18% of the UK’s top 10 law firms. This rose to 19% for the next 15 biggest firms.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
