Our conveyancing team is made up of qualified solicitors (with one to 24 years experience), chartered legal executives (with one to five years experience) and conveyancing executives who are not qualified.

The team is supervised by Sonia Bains, a solicitor, who has over 8 years experience working in residential conveyancing.

With over 20 years of experience in property law and financial services, Fiaz Khalid founded LPL in 2017. Since then, the firm has grown rapidly and earned multiple awards, becoming one of the fastest-growing property law firms in the UK.

Fiaz started his career as a financial services broker and lender, specialising in residential loans and bridging finance. He later qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer and moved into property law.

Fiaz is known for his strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex legal issues. He believes in keeping clients informed and confident at every step of the process, offering clear communication and transparency.

Louise Stephens-Pantoja is responsible for overseeing the operations at LPL, ensuring services run smoothly and the firm maintains its high standards. She manages key relationships with brokers, introducers and agents and works to improve client service and resolve any complex issues that arise.
  In addition to these duties, Louise is actively involved in the firm’s strategy, including market analysis, marketing efforts and finding new opportunities for growth. She also plays an important role in creating a positive workplace culture, developing staff incentive programmes that recognise and motivate the team.
 
Career Highlights
Louise is a CeMAP-qualified professional with a wealth of experience in financial services. She has consistently demonstrated integrity and professionalism throughout her career. One of her key achievements includes holding a Consumer Credit Licence for eight years, with no complaints filed against her from consumers or regulatory bodies like the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
 
Background
With over 25 years in the financial services sector, Louise has held various roles, including broker, packager, and lender, and has worked across both prime and subprime markets. She has a strong background in direct sales, operations, management and compliance, giving her a deep understanding of the industry’s regulatory and operational frameworks.

Louise’s broad experience with legal and investment products, along with her commitment to operational excellence, makes her a vital member of LPL’s leadership team, helping the firm thrive in a competitive market.

Amy Orchard is the Head of HR and Compliance at LPL, where she ensures the firm meets and exceeds industry standards and legal requirements. A qualified solicitor with over 17 years of experience, Amy brings expertise in employment law, HR and compliance, alongside a commitment to creating a positive and supportive workplace for all employees.

Amy is responsible for a wide range of HR and compliance functions, including:
 
  • Recruitment and retention: attracting, developing and keeping the best legal talent, ensuring the team is skilled and aligned with LPL’s values.
  • Compliance: making sure LPL meets all legal and regulatory requirements, protecting the firm’s reputation and reducing risk.
  • Employee relations: supporting a positive work environment by resolving conflicts, developing policies and advocating for employees.
 
Professional Background
Amy’s experience spans both in-house and private practice roles, giving her a strong understanding of the legal and practical challenges within the workplace. She is an experienced advocate, having successfully handled significant employment tribunal cases and even represented a national transport company at the Court of Appeal. While Amy has extensive experience in litigation, she particularly enjoys working with people and building strong, positive relationships at work.

Amy ensures LPL operates with integrity and transparency, building trust with clients and maintaining a strong reputation. She focuses on supporting employees, helping them grow in their roles while creating a culture of collaboration and success.

Stephanie brings extensive experience from her time at a large volume conveyancing firm, where she managed a team of 10 and handled complex transactions. These included company purchases, shared ownership schemes, new builds and leasehold properties.
